The Vine Restaurant
What's it like? The Vine Restaurant is a cosy venue that can cater for a maximum of 56 guests for a sit-down meal and up to 80 for canapé receptions, so what better place to celebrate a smaller wedding party? But the best thing is... there is the option to hire a marquee, providing additional space for seating or perhaps a large dance floor.
Who will love it? Keen cricketers, as the Vine Restaurant offers perfect views of Sevenoaks Vine Cricket Club, one of the oldest cricket grounds in England.
Licensed for ceremonies? No

Give your locks some much-needed pampering before the big day, with a break in The Cotswolds courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Stuart Holmes.
Top hairstylist Stuart Holmes relocated from London to Cheltenham in 2003, where he established his luxurious hair and beauty salon with his wife Sara. After the move, many of his clients started to regularly travel from London for their appointments so Stuart decided to team up with two of the area's most exclusive hotels to launch the Hair Holiday package. This enables clients to make a relaxing weekend of having their hair done and enjoying some pampering too. Over the past six years the Stuart Holmes Hair and Beauty Spa has gone from strength to strength and now employs 20 professional staff.

Lighter-than-air fabrics, delicate detailing and billowing volume. Perfect dresses for summer weddings.
In the warmer months shorter and lighter gowns are by far the easiest and most comfortable choices. But that's not to say brides who have been dreaming of wearing a princess-style gown, can't. Volume is back this season, but rather than heavy satin and enormous petticoats, brides should be opting for softer materials like chiffon, tulle and organza. "We're seeing lighter, flowing gowns that have movement and an air of casual elegance," says bridalwear designer Claire Pettibone. "This season's designs are reflecting a more relaxed and intimate style of wedding. Soft mermaid silhouettes and sheathing fabrics are both popular." The Greek goddess look is also a chic choice for summer, so choose dresses made from sumptuous slipper satin for a luxurious feel. Or for something with a bit of an edge, why not show off some leg with a shorter style?
For more tips on finding the perfect summer gown for your big day, see pages 61-64 of the current issue.

| Our day - Rebecca & Nicholas |
| |
 |
| |
Rebecca Stillman and Nicholas Hart were married on 30th May last year at Leeds Castle.
Rebecca and Nicholas met in the summer of 1997. "We were both shop assistants and our eyes first met over Nike tracksuits and trainers," says Rebecca. The couple's first date was to see The Green Mile followed by a bite to eat. "It went very well. I still wear the perfume I wore that evening. Nick says it reminds him of our first date," says Rebecca. Nine years later Nick proposed. "We were going out for the evening and he was too nervous to wait until we were at the restaurant," remembers Rebecca who says he popped the question in their bedroom.
My bridesmaids were Nick's sister Sophie and my best friend Cara, while the flowergirl was Ellie, the daughter of my oldest friend. I couldn't decide whether to have floor- or tea-length dresses, or whether to have simple ivory or coloured gowns. In theend I decided to go with a colour. After this the decision was really simple. Cara picked a style she liked, then Sophie tried it on and loved it too.
Nick's best friend from school, Joe Gilmore, was the best man and the ushers were a variety of family members: Jon Warrick, Michael Hart, Tim Stillman, Larry Hart and Keith Archer. They each wore a suit in the same style as Nick's. Nick stood out in an ivory waistcoat to match my dress, while the ushers wore waistcoats that matched the bridesmaids' dresses.
