| This issue we're going back to black to inspire you with the stylish delights of monochrome. I love the stark contrast of black and white which, when combined, can create a timeless look - ensuring you won;t be filled with regret when you look back on those reception shots in years to come. Why not go all-out on the day and set the scene with a black tie dress code, and have cool martinis served as reception drinks for a touch of 007 style? Alternatively, take inspiration from Old Hollywood - the epitome of glamour - and name tables after classic black and white movies, or 1950s stars like Marilyn Monroe and Cary Grant. When it comes to the finer details anything is possible. For flower arrangements choose anemone with white petals and a black centre, or try kangeroo paw, which looks fabulous mixed with classic white blooms, such as roses. For more ideas on how to create a fabulous black and white wedding theme, see page 36 of the current issue. |

| Romantic hideaways - Moroccan magic |

Where in the world can you go skiing in the morning and sunbathing in the afternoon? The first place that comes to mind is Marrakech - where skiers can head for Atlas Mountains' ski resort and then bask in the afternoon sun by the poolside of a boutique hotel.
There's a dizzying choice of luxurious riads and hotels competing for attention, and one riad worth checking out is Maison MK, a boutique hotel in the heart of the medina.
So what makes this hotel different from the others? It's all in the fine details: Parisian toiletries; sensual suites; a massage in a purpose-built room lit only by candles; and an ancient Moroccan cleansing ritual in the hammam.

Some couples take to the camera naturally like celebrities on the red carpet, while others get very self-concious. Posing in front of the camera is not as easy as you think, especially when all eyes and lenses are focused on both of you. So how do professonal photographers get couples to relax in front of the camera?
"A great way to help couples relax on the wedding day is to do a pre-wedding shoot, an optional service offered by most professional photographers," says Mark Lord of Lord & Leverett. "It helps the bride and groom get acquainted with the photographer and also gives couples a good idea of what to expect on their big day.
