Child's play
Q - We will be having children of all ages attending our wedding and would like to provide childcare in the afternoon so the adults can relax. What do you suggest?
A - Nikki says: Having something for the children is a good idea as it will allow the adults to fully enjoy your nuptials at the same time as making your day fun for your younger guests. Budget permitting, and the length of time you would like to keep the children entertained, you could consider any of these options:
- Activity boxes at the table - make sure they are suitable for all ages.
- A children's entertainer during speeches.
- A creche company who can entertain and fully supervise all ages while the children have a party of their own in another room. Some creches also offer evening babysitting services, allowing everyone to stay late. Remember to use an Ofsted registered mobile creche as you can then guarantee all qualified staff and insurances are in place, just ask for a Ofsted registration number.

Danielle Wilkins reveals the latest style buys for the new season
A must-read I've read this book from cover to cover, and never get tired of looking through the photographs. Vintage Weddings, One Hundred Years of Bridal Fashion and Style is a brand new title showcasing 100 years of vintage weddings and dresses. With a foreword by designer Bruce Oldfield, the book takes a close look at key periods, iconic designers and other cultural influences in wedding fashion. As well as being a great source of inspiration, the book also helps brides recognise the silhouette that will best suit their body shape, as well as show them how to find appropriate accessories.
Vintage Weddings, One Hundred Years of Bridal Fashion and Style by Marnie Fogg (£25) is published by Carlton Books. For stockists visit www.carltonbooks.co.uk

Warren House, Kingston Upon Thames
On the outside Set amidst four acres of landscaped gardens, Warren House is a Victorian mansion just a three minute walk from Richmond Park.
Rich with spectacular flora, Warren House has remarkable garden architecture including an Italian-style Loggia and Winter Garden. There is also a meadow with fruit trees and a small herb garden - an idyllic setting for wedding snaps.
On the inside Warren House features a mirrored ballroom and a selection of reception rooms with garden views and historical features. The Persian Room and the London Room can easily accommodate guests, a band and a dancefloor.
There are 45 luxurious bedrooms all individually furnished in keeping with the period of the house, which are available for overnight guests.
We love...The character of the mansion, and the number of stunning spaces for photographs including the romantic sunken gardens.
