Vintage-inspired accessories brand launches

Fresh from an exclusive launch at the Designer Wedding Show in London, Debbie Carlisle has released her new 2012 accessories collection and is taking orders now from stockists.

The collection features a selection of headpieces and cuffs which takes inspiration from the 1920s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970s - with a modern fashion-forward twist.

Speaking about the 2012 range, Debbie said: "I wanted to make this collection as versatile as possible so brides could wear their chosen design in many different ways. I wanted to give them maximum choice about their look - or looks - and also give them the option of wearing their bridal headpiece again."

A warm welcome
It may be cold outside, but this year's trade show schedule is certainly hotting up, with the British Bridal Exhibition in Harrogate just around the corner. In our forthcoming March/April issue, distributed to retailers at the end of the month, we reveal the newest bridal collections gracing the aisles of Harrogate International Centre and the surrounding hotels.

On the subject of trade shows, it's only five months until The Essential Collection opens its doors once again to the bridal trade at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. Bridal retailers can once again expect a packed seminar programme, regular fashion shows and companies not seen at any other bridal trade event. What's more, Stoneleigh Park is within a short hop of most major UK cities and offers unlimited free on-site parking. To register in advance, simply visit www.theessentialcollection2012.com - we look forward to seeing you there!

Chanticleer releases 2012 collection

Top British wedding dress designer, Tracy Salt, has let her creative expression come alive this season with a stunning new wedding gown collection for 2012, designed exclusively for Chanticleer.

'All That Jazz' draws inspiration from the 1920's Jazz era right through to the 1950s and retains Chanticleer's signature corsetry work and sleek, figure hugging gowns which enhance feminine curves.

To complement this eclectic collection of gowns, there is also a wide range of delicate lace jackets with tiny pearl buttons and sweeping necklines, and pleated chiffon wraps with precious fastenings.

Just open

The Bridal Room in Broadway, Worcestershire, recently celebrated its grand opening, attended by family, friends and brides to be. Speaking about her decision to open the boutique, owner Emma Lloyd says: "I wanted to open a shop when my husband and I first moved to the Cotswolds eight years ago, but I never had the confidence to take my dream forwards. Then last Christmas I lost my father to cancer; he had always encouraged me to follow my dreams, so with the support of my husband I put my plan into action."

She continues: "I wanted to offer brides a wide range of styles as well as budgets, so we stock beautiful gowns by Demetrios, Cosmabella, Oreasposa as well as the very talented British designers Charlotte Balbier and Lyn Ashworth."
