| Five steps to the perfect seating plan |

Your reception depends upon it, so get it right and make your celebrations unforgettable.
It's a difficult job at the best of times, but when your big day is just around the corner, putting together a seating plan for 50 or more guests can seem like mission impossible. It's an important task, too; even if yours is a casual affair, letting guests choose their own seats could result in complete chaos. I'm sorry to say that this is an area where wedding planners have no choice but to take a back seat: after all, you and your fiancé are the ones who know all of your guests and, most importantly, the family dynamics. But don't fret - County Wedding Magazines has put together a foolproof guide to getting your table plan done and dusted, so you can relax and enjoy the run-up to your big day.
For a five step guide to your perfect seating plan, see pages 75 & 76 of the current issue. |

| Springing into action |
 |
At long last: the bitingly cold winter is behind us. I don't know about you, but I find a bit of pampering goes a long way to putting a sprightly spring back in my step. (If you need the same treatment, turn to our beauty news pages for a selection of new bridal must-haves.)
Apart from the fact that we're launching yet another title in our portfolio (Your Manchester Wedding), we've been industriously putting together an issue that's jam packed full of fabulous features.
We head to Warwick and Leamington Spa in search of great venues, and get all melodic for our music feature, where you can find top tips from the region's top musicians and DJs.
Enjoy!

Carnival Sprit
Laura Binder shares her must-see sights in the sizzling city of Rio de Janeiro.
Lively, exuberant, romantic and sexy; when it comes to my honeymoon hot spot (ideally with Gerard Butler in tow), I dream of Rio. The Brazilian city is full of colourful contrasts, making it a must-visit for couples after both culture and the beach, not to mention exoticism in abundance. I'm not one to kick back and relax day after day so, for me, Rio's heady mix of searing hot night life, stretches of sandy beaches and old colonial-style buildings, as well as vast rainforests and sites of natural beauty on the doorstep, is a combination I just can't resist. Its residents, known as 'Cariocas', are reportedly characterised by their passionate natures and enthusiasm for life. Rio has captured my heart for this very reason: it's a destination simply made for those with a lust for life. And, what better person to experience all the sizzling city has to offer with than my new husband? If I can just convince him to learn samba before we leave?

They say love is sweet so what better way to evoke the sentiment than in your wedding theme? Laura Binder looks at candy colour schemes.
With spring upon us I can't help but think of pretty pastel tones for wedding days. But, to stand out from the crowd, why not add a tasty touch to the season's colours with a candy twist? Couples can stick well within budget by creating economical yet eye catching centrepieces: large glass bowls or tall jars filled with retro treats like flying saucers, sherbet lemons, marshmallows and lollipops look devastatingly sweet and tables can be named after them too. Indulging in all things candy is also a great option for those with children on the guest list, and works just as well for adults - after all, who doesn't have a taste for old school treats? |

For something fun and feisty to get you in the mood for an evening out, Cirque du Soleil hosts its shows in lots of venues around the country. And when it comes to the fun-factor, it doesn't really get much bigger than this. The company has recently launched a show called Saltimbanco which is set to be a big hit this year. With spectacular costumes, amazing lighting, plenty of humour and enchanting music, it's an event both the young and old will love. For something similar but slightly more intimate, La Clique cabaret is a sexy, funny cocktail of everything from burlesque performers to contemporary circus acts.
